Random Rant?
I know a few people who brag about their skills. (Note: skills, not talent)
Except, ya know…If you have 18 hours a day dedicated to yourself learning how to sew, make patterns, etc. then it’s not really impressive to me when you make a pattern and a dress perfectly after a few months.Blah. That is all. Just something that I’ve been thinking about - lettin’ it out there…
This is so true. But I basically have a problem with people bragging about anything, whether it’s talent OR skill. It’s admirable if someone takes the time to learn a trade or do anything for 18 hours a day. But it’s beyond tacky if said person doesn’t have any humility. I don’t know who you’re referring to here, but I know people in my major who think they’re the total shit and the truth is, nobody cares. Your integrity and work ethic and how you treat people matters so much more than your ego. Take pride in your work, but don’t flaunt it!
